Capitol Comedy Hour (New and Improved!)

  • Madison's 119 King Street Madison, WI, 53703 United States (map)

Come laugh with us!

Capitol Comedy Hour began in 2017 as a stand-up comedy showcase. After a hiatus, we’re back and better than ever! In addition to stand-up from some of the funniest comics in the Midwest, we’ve added live music, games, sketches - and a few surprises! Your host is the witty and charming Andrew Rynning.

Bennett Brown

Fresh out of college, Bennett decided that his math major would be best put to work in science’s most daring field: stand up.
Bennett co-runs Madison’s Backyard Comedy Showcase. He regularly performs at Madison’s Comedy on State and has opened for TJ Miller, Gilbert Gottfried, and Dulce Sloan.
He has performed in the North Carolina Comedy Fest, The Gathering of the Juggalos, Gilda’s Laughfest, and is Madison’s reigning Big Diss Roast Battle champion.

Natalie Wickman

Natalie Wickman is a standup comic and human person in Milwaukee, WI. She performs around the city and state, telling jokes that simultaneously entertain audiences and disappoint her parents. And yes, she had to look up how to spell "simultaneously." Credits include: Milwaukee Improv, Madison Comedy Week, Don't Tell Comedy, and opening for headliners Kenny DeForest and Sarah Perry.

Adam McShane

Adam McShane is a Chicago based comedian and writer. After beginning stand up in 2014, he quickly became known around town for his structured absurdism on topics that “aren’t really a thing.” In the time he doesn’t spend co-hosting the American Journal of Losers podcast, or fighting parking tickets, he can be found traveling all over the Midwest opening for national acts such as Robert Kelly, Gary Gulman, Morgan Murphy, Michael Che, and so on and so forth.

Your Host: Andrew Rynning

Andrew Rynning is a comedian, improviser, and writer based in Madison, WI. He has opened for Caitlin Peluffo, Aristotle Athari, Rachel Mac, and more.
Andrew also cohosts the weekly comedy mic, Mondays at Mom's, at Mom's Bar. He has performed improv since 2018 with Monkey Business Institute and Atlas Improv Company, and took up writing in 8th grade once he realized he was terrible at math.
Andrew is from Milton, WI originally which is generally regarded as unfortunate for all involved.
